Ye shot the radio out and everything off the dash landed on the bed ,funny though I went to bed at 7 to be shore to go at 2 am and not be nodding .

Hiya …Lucky there Dan are you OK…made of tough stuff in them hills.stay safe mate.

Reminds me of the time- must have been late '60s- when I had the old 8-wheeler Atki in “silent seventh” down a long slope on a dual carriageway in Kent. Suddenly a wheel & tyre came past me at a terrific rate of knots, missing the offside of my lorry by a couple of inches.
It crossed my mind to wonder where it had come from and what sort of idiot would let his wheels get slack when the steering pulling to the right indicated that the idiot was me!
That was the last time that I neglected to check the wheelnuts. Could have ended in tears. Or worse.

Bloody well woke me up, I got the call to go out & recover poor old Sprinter.

I didn’t know what to do with this picture, I don’t think there’s a tin hat big enough to save us from the wrath of a certain retired fleet operator from ■■■■■■■ if I had put it on a Sheeting & Roping thread (await comments from Bewick)

To be fair Dan did offer me the chance to re-sheet it to my own standard but I didn’t see much benefit really, what’s that old saying, “you can’t make a silk ■■■■■ out of a sows’ ear”.

Not good Dan. At least you weren’t hurt. By the time you have repaired your Sprinter, the other blokes insurers will have a hefty bill.
Cost of hiring a replacement vehicle whilst yours is off the road.
Cheers Dave.

That looks like the back of an S Walker unit…
