Your training just kicks in■■?
I can’t ever remember getting training on what to do during a bridge collapse when doing my bus licence.

You are, however, taught to keep your cool and not panic, and that’s what he did.
It’s odd what you do retain in the memory banks. I was in the Army in the late 1970’s and when the firemens’ strike was on we all did a basic course; one thing I remember was being taught how to open a door to access a room where there’s a fire (basically you don’t stand in front of the door) and about 3 years ago when I had a fire in my garage at home, it instinctively kicked in, didn’t realise at the time but it clicked afterwards when I was discussing it with the fire crew.
