And just to re assure people, Dave Duncan isnt a scam artist or anything else for that matter. Hes on my friends list on Facebook. He`s a trucker, from Yorkshire, who just really felt for this guys family. Dave is in touch with the Company Lukasz worked for (who are his family too) and all funds WILL go to directly to his wife (he said even if he has to drive to Poland himself), the Go Fund Me support team is liasing between to two as well.

Top bloke that Dave Duncan
It could have been anyone of us, drivers
It’s a tragic thing to happen to anybody, especially someone who has a family , kids and just before Xmas.
Absolutely awfull

Not very busy this thread is it? Oh yeah this one involves actually donating money and making a difference instead of the look at me ■■■■■■■■ in the other. :unamused:

I did put money to it but did not feel i had to leave a post.

I’ve donated my money. I was also in touch with company as I speak fluent polish. Wanted to set something up for the family but luckily the gentleman has already done so. Very big respect to him

theguardian.com/world/2016/ … rder-merit

Over £72,000 so far but no amount of money will take him back alive to his family, my thoughts and prayers are with them :frowning:

Good to see this getting national coverage…

Funeral today, the Polish state is paying for the funeral, the money raised will be going to his family with zero state intervention, according to one of my Polish mates who has sent me video extracts of the funeral via their national news…

RIP Lukasz…

The last update I received via go fund me, reported that the polish government had agreed that all funds would be passed over tax free, nice when a government acts for the benefit of its citizens, not sure that would happen here.

It wouldn’t happen here, and certainly not that fast if It did…my Polish friends were concerned about government “sticky fingers” getting involved, but its virtually a state funeral today, so It would be a bit foolish to plunder the “fund” with so many people watching…

£187.000 raised so far. What does this say about drivers. Top men and women indeed. His family are now set up for life but I would bet they would give all that up just to have him back. No amount of cash can cover the loss of a loved one but fair play to everyone who donated,

I’ll second that !

That’s some serious paying of respects there.
