0New in 1991 and driven by Wally Walton H714 OAR was one of 46 ■■■■■■■ 325 powered E10 ERF 4x2 tractor units based at Middleton depot in the early 1990’s

Nice pic, and yes,the ‘British Airways’ livery.

Bedford.

Thanks for that Dean the Bedford is heading along King Street Castle Douglas in Scotland, here’s the same location today…

ERF ‘C’ Series 4x2 tractor unit Reg No CNV 124X, powered by a Gardner 6LXCT 230 turbo engine, was registered new to Lowfields in March 1982 and was driven from new by Andy Fyfe who drove it for nine years on the Sainsbury contact out of Middleton until it was withdrawn in 1991.

It is pictured above in Monmouth in 1992 and looking in a rather sorry state after being sold on to Drapers steel hauliers of Newport South Wales

End of the road for this former Lowfields ■■■■■■■ 325 powered E10 ERF 4x2 tractor unit, one of many that were exported to Malta.

Advert.

Cracking find Dean brilliant.

That’s Les Bostock at the wheel taken on the A627M on the approach to Stakehill Middleton.

I remember ERF doing that photo shoot they went up and down that short stretch of motorway about a dozen times at least to get the picture they wanted.

CNV 120X was normally driven by Wally Walton and after life at Lowfields it was bought by Mark Schofield from Huddersfield in 1991 who converted it into this gritter pictured below and used it on contract with the local council in West Yorkshire until 1997.

Cheers for that Dean,

From what i remember they only had a handful of those Renault’s spread out across other depots around the country and they didn’t really last long.

Thanks to Colin Knapp for this image of ERF ‘C’ Series Reg No ONH 294Y heading East at Hartshead Moor services on the M62 in West Yorkshire in 1983.
