Lower Thames crossing going ahead

Apparently it’s been given the go ahead . Even though the treasury minister has no idea where abouts it’s going to and from.

Thing gets me looking at it it’s partly government funded and there looking for backers Investors. To find the rest.
So guessing once completed ot will become a toll road?.
And if so all these investors will be be taking the lions share of revenue leaving our government with nothing.
Talk about good business.
And I’m taking bets on it opening on time within budget

this is how dumb these clowns are they cant even explain something they think is good.

1/2 a nano second googleing and i came up with this…

Route

Approximate location of the north tunnel portal, taken in 2012

View of the area where the southern tunnel portal will be constructed, taken in 2006

The proposed route involves a twin-bore tunnel crossing under the River Thames east of Gravesend and Tilbury, linked north of the river by a new road to the M25 between junctions 29 and 30 while south of the river the new road will directly join the A2 at Thong east of Gravesend.[53] It will run west of Shorne, not to the east, as a result of consultations.[54] The twin-bore tunnel itself would be 4.2 kilometres (2.6 mi) and 16.4 metres (54 ft) in diameter each, which would make it the largest and longest road tunnel in the UK. The tunnels will each have three lanes for traffic.[55][56]

there is an issue there though although i doubt thats why reynolds cant tell us where it will be. Allegedly each tunnel will have three lanes and be 16.4 meters in diamater. the standered width of a carriage way is 6 - 7.3. if there are three lanes thats a minimum distance of 18 meters (6 * 3 = 18). so please tell me how they are going to fit 18 meters inside a 16.4 meter circle.

Each of the three lanes is 6 metres wide, really? that’s 19ft wide. So you can almost park a lorry and trailer sideways across the three lanes of a UK motorway or A road? Maybe you need that amount of room but the rest of us mostly manage with the recommended 3.65 metre lane width (12 feet) that’s 11 metres for the three lanes, roughly the length of a bus. And in the Land of the Plenty an Interstate lane is 12ft wide too. A nice try at your beloved ‘lefty’ bashing but an epic fail.

you never got back to me about that bridge
