Low profiles versus standard size tyres

Need some advice on this please, just bought a Swedish Magnum running on low profiles and as I know nothing about them, will it have a high speed dif and if so and I put standard tyres on will it drop the revs too much? What are the pros and cons of low profiles if running height isn’t an issue?

What size is it running on front and back?

315/60/22.5 on front and 295s on drive and tag

Equitran:
315/60/22.5 on front and 295s on drive and tag

295/60 or 295/80?

295/60s, revs are 1500 at 90 km/hr

If you up the tyres on the drive axle, ,you will need the tacho calibrating. You get fewer miles out of a low profile tyre because the tyre does more revolutions per mile. Traction can be worse as the side walls are thicker and the ride is harsher.

If it,s ok for your job, I would leave it as is, you could always put 355/50/22.5 super singles on the front to improve the ride.

Thanks for the info, I’ll leave well enough alone then as it seems to work as it is and on a run from Gothenburg I got 11mpg so I’m happy with that.
