Right, I passed my c+e this March previously done shunting on docks etc so I’m not new to artics… Sent my cv out to companies that I thought I’d like to go to and randomly landed a decent job, just days, and what I thinks good pay…
Then yesterday had a call from one of these companies, they do low loaders mainly agricultural machinery! Are low low loaders usually on a good screw?? I like the the idea of a challenge, but then I really don’t know what to expect moneywise? As I said I think I take a fair amount home each week and don’t know if I can get anymore?? What can you earn tramping on low loaders??
I know someone will say go see… But if it’s going to be a complete waste of there and my time, can anyone shed and light on the subject
They are calling me back again tomorrow so should I just be blunt and say can you guarantee me x amount each week?? I’ve already convinced myself they won’t pay what I need
Don’t be blunt, be polite. If they’ve offered you the job then they have to tell you the rates. If the total doesn’t sit well with you, then politely decline their offer. No one gets offended that way.

It’s just regarding going and seeing them the call no job offer as such, just don’t want to waste my time with a interview if I’m going to be no better off money wise… Ive never done full time tramping so I don’t even realistically know what you can take??
Just ask them straight out what the pay is,explain that you don’t want to waste their time and yours arranging interviews ect if the pay isn’t enough for you.

Load loader work is a great challenge. Farm machines are pretty easy max of 6 chains normally anything upto 19ft wide with a combine and header on board
I read a great comment on here somewhere,
Chain it down like you’re going to drive it like you stole it, but when you do drive, do it like it ain;t chained at all.
I’m thinking, sod the ■■■■■■, we’ll move it Sunday morning!
Nah get it done lol over here pilot cars depends what state or province you’re in and what you got on. I picked up an air drill this week 16 ft wide but because travelling through SK and AB and it’s agricultural no pilot car needed
