Low loader snaps carrying 65t steam train

Tried to think of a funny comment but I think you lot have covered just about everything.
It has occurred to me though that there appears to be three chains on nearside and I’m assuming there may be three more on offside, now bearing in mind the high centre of gravity, do you really think that is sufficient to secure a 65ton loco?? I know the drivers not going to be chucking it round corners but I would have expected a few more chains for that sort of weight.

The British humour is brilliant ! Every time someone posts a topic similar to this there is always funny remarks haha , keep it up guys !!

Doesn’t look too bad to me. Jack it up with a couple of bottle jacks and give it a few spot welds. Good as new

That’s probably what they did to it last time.

I hope somebody guarded that engine overnight or it’s brass fittings might’ve gone walkies.

Reid,s with a trailer in half nothing new there

The sign is a woman with her head cut off (or at least used to be - haven’t been there for a few years)

The workshop manager was not too chuffed when the call came in.

A pub called the Silent Woman??

Choo, have to be joking right?

It looks like the end of the line for the trailer and de railed all the plans for the next job.

Better stick to the permanent way.

This isn’t a platform for poor jokes, yet you lot steam in regardless, somebody aught to blow the whistle and get you lot to conduct yourselves properly.

Wrong weight anyway… them engines are 68ton…think someones calculations where a tad off for the trailer to snap… its all in the tonnage :grimacing:
