Low loader question

Got a question on running a low loader in europe . would loading a jcb possibly a fast track in romania come under any restrictions eg convoi ex or any other rules or would it be classed as just a normal artic load

Suppose it would depend on the type of low loader and if it stuck out the sides of the trailer.

Depends if it’s wider than the wagon. A JCB Fast trac 8250, which looks like one of the bigger ones, grosses about 10.6 tonnes, so you shouldn’t have any weight troubles, just be sure you chain it down in the right spot on the trailer to avoid axle loading problems.

Brochure here: http://www.stokker.lt/files/uploaded/lt/catalogs/JCB/FASTRAC/Fastrac%20Range%202007%2007.pdf

Unfortunately that doesn’t list the size of the beast, but page 14 of the file does list the weights of the various current models.

Why not see if it will fit into a Euroliner - with the roof open if neccesary. We regularly bring big tractors from John Deere in Mannheim down to Spain, and ordinairy JCB’s from the UK in them without the need for ■■■■■■ vehicles etc…

just make sure that when it is on the trailer that
you do not exceed 4.oo m ,height, and then you
should have no problems, ALSO ensure that
you trailer isokay for the load and correctly
lashed down, as the enforcement will be hot
on this,

Send a PM to jj72 he is into weird loads from weird countries.

I with no experience what so ever think that you won’t have a problem as they go from JCB factory in a Euroliner all over the place.
