Low bridge Ashbourne

the one north of Ashbourne on the A515 has been replaced with a metal one over minumum bridge height

Any idea what the old height was, and what the new 1 is■■?

4 metres is about 13’2" , which is a lot lower than 16’6"

We run 16’2" double decks,which,if I remember correctly is 4.8m.

They mention ‘enforcement cameras’ what are they going to do?
I mean you take a 5m lorry under a 4m bridge, surely the now 4m lorry would be enough evidence to prove it was you that got stuck under it?

If you are the type to not report it and you managed to get it back out and back to depot with no one noticing, then how are you going to explain that to the insurers? Not as if you could hide the fact!
