Lost toolbar icon

I’ve lost the volume control icon from the toolbar■■? Can anyone help me get it back?

I am assuming that you are using Windows XP.
Click START button
Select Control Panel
Select Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices
Select Change Speaker Settings
Click the box Place volume icon in the taskbar.

Then restart you PC and it should be there.

I’m using Vista, I had a look to see if I could translate your XP advice but no joy.

right click on the bottom where it used to be,click on properties, a new window opens with all the taskbar items on it. look for volume and set it to show icon and notifications.

I tried your suggestion but no joy with that. I then had a google and found a suggestion to fix it (it’s not an unusual problem apparently), that failed due to my incompetence with anything computer related :grimacing: so ended up doing a restore which has done the trick! Thanks for your help bud, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’ll be there once you click Ok, no need for a restart.

Sure, you will get that option in control panel.
