Lorrys

Bit of a random question but I see a lot of people posting up saying “my lorry this my lorry that, heres a picture of my lorry”… If you get a contract with a company (rigid or artic), do the company usually “give” you a lorry that you keep checked and use throughout your contract time or has these people just bought their own lorries?

it’s just easier than saying the lorry allocated to me, nothing to get wound up about. my boss, who owns it, refers to it as mine.

^ This (mostly)

Some of us do drive lorries that we own.

A driver employed by a company will normally have his “own” lorry that he is allocated to drive.
An agency driver or contract driver will normally have a different truck every day.
Me personally I wouldn’t want to have a job where I didn’t have my own truck,iv got it kitted out just nice so if I end up doing a night out then it’s no big deal.

I work for a blue chip company and we (drivers) don’t have our own lorry’s I don’t think company drivers at Tesco Sainsbury Morrisons or any of the other company’s have dedicated trucks …
