Lorrying in Bath

For fellow lorryists delivering in Bath , just a heads up that the traffic wardens are back at work today and the parking is no longer free .
The only toilet in Bath is inside the bus station , walk through the information office , push the turnstile , on exit , push the button , it is free to use .

The only place to get a decent coffee is inside the Polish food shop by the Odeon and Weatherspoons , not bad flat white from there . The shop is called the Werjitik bear with yellow signage .
Safe lorrying to you all .

Where’s the parking in Bath you’re on about Toby,.and how much is it.?

Lorry and coach park on Avon street for Riverside lorry park which is free at night , it was the traffic wardens out in force , just in case someone was delivering on a parking restriction area , even though they shouldn’t give out a ticket with the tail lift down or in the process of unloading or collecting goods .
I have seen loads of cars with tickets , so they weren’t aware of the enforcement .

I’d imagine it’s the Riverside coach park…

Anybody got a postcode for this, I’m sometimes in Bath looking for somewhere.
Last time I was making for Locksbrook estate, but it was rammed …apart from where the double yellows were. :unamused:
How much to park btw,?
Toby…you sound as if you know Bath. is that pub ‘The Bath Tap’ still there…not a wind up btw.

Had a nose myself while waiting to load. A postcode might be tricky given where it is.

Can you get it.from this : 9JHP+P4 Bath

Or 51.3792851, -2.3646462

That is now inside the clean air zone isn’t it?

Bath clean air zone starts 04/11/20 but doesn’t go live until January 2021 , £100 per day for older lorries .
Robroy , the Bath Tap is closed , but there is a pub near Locksbrook road but the meals are expensive , a Sunday roast is £17 but the place is rammed full willing to pay London prices but with the Flu , shut .
But a very nice walk from Brassmill trading estate to Bitton steam train station or even further to Bristol if packing a bicycle or run it .On the old train track .
Just before Bitton , a large mansion with a fishing lake belongs to Noel Edmunds , originally Hinge and Bracket tv stars from the 70’s lived there .
Pre flu days , you could have a meal inside old train carriages at Bitton station .
With reference to other post about parking near the park and ride bus station at Landsdown race course , there is a weight limit to access Bath from the park and ride , not a lorry route .

What is that one that had a traditional name, but names reversed Toby?
It was summet like… The Bush and Bull, or the Crown and Rose?
A bit of a sports bar full of young women…I only went for the Sky football btw you understand

Also if coming off M4, can you get to it ok, around that bloody stupid new wt limit by the Fire station bridge?

Thought you’d gone.

Robroy , I can’t recall that pub that you said , apart from The hat and feather in Walcot street , was a trendy place full of hippies , now it’s a fancy steakhouse or The fleece and firkin , can’t think of any with Sky sports and top hot posh totty to oogle at , maybe an Irish pub near the Grosvenor posh hotel ?
