we recently got another lorry with the hiab. the crane stops half way across the flat bed and wont reach the opposite side without raising the crane and bringing it right round the cab.
Surely this is a health and safety problem, once round the cab is still stops half way across the lorry. personally speaking I think the crane is on back to front.

Sounds like it’s on wrong way round. I know you can adjust where it stops, but this is a very, very big job involving lifting the main post out the base of the crane ( have seen it done with some of our timber cranes). Worth getting it looked at ?.
Thanks Mick & dingo, had to get the main post lifted and the toothed plate reversed, so all is well and working as it should be.
