No one said this one…Motor…as in ‘Nice motor mate’ or ‘There’s my Motor’
Last time I drove we were referred to as ‘Drive’ then we used to call them, either Clarky or Forky they don’t like that too much tho!!!

It’s a wagon any where north of Stoke You southerners call it what you want.

In the US the bogies on trains are called trucks.

Why do some people use the word truck and not lorry or even waggon.

Truck is an American term. When I was a lad a truck was a hand-cart or trolley (truckle trolley) & the knights of the road were lorry & waggon drivers.

Oh dear sorry to be diferent but i have allways called em trucks unless its a Volvo :confused: and i have allways been a truck driver even had it under occupation on the old passports.

When i was driving a TRUCK :sunglasses: I was mostly referred to as Drive. Personally I considered it a badge of Honour, i.e. I was doing something the clarky and forkey could not do. :smiley:

As a HATO I still call all LGV drivers “drive” as a respectful name :smiley:
