Lorry user charge 2014

Hi all, not been hearing much about this change while out and about. Checked out the link below and it seems I will be paying less tax than at present.

What worries me about this more flexible way of charging road tax is what is causing our French brothers to strike, and that is the ECO-TAX. How long before somebody in government sees this as a convenient and public friendly way of raising more cash for the exchequer?

If you’re looking at that table, that is just the lorry road user charge. The Ved part will be on top, making it what you currently pay.

Got it now. VED reduced to difference between what I currently pay, and new charge.

Anybody on here run any vehicles on the old ‘combined transport’ tax band?
