I have been in the “new job” for 8 weeks now and they are sending me on a Lorry Loaders (Hi-Ab) training course tomorrow.
Is there anything I need to read up on before I go? I know it is short notice, but they only told me about it yesterday and I had a night out!!

They’ll give you plenty to read & go through when you get there Chap, I’ve seen them doing it in our yard, plenty of talking & things to look at then some practical in the afternoon from what I saw.

hiya I took my refresher a few months ago just listen to what the traing guy tells you its staight forward. everything is explaned step
by step. take note of equipment expiry dates like chains or strops(colour coded possibly purple untill June nationwide)and you do a dozen
questions on health and saftey…always set the lorryloader up as if you are doing a maximum lift don’t put stablizers out on just one side
pull everything out and put pads under the legs. if there are no pads ask saying you’ve seen people with thick plywood under the stableizers
on some jobs…use all your ppe(vest boots hard hat specks and gloves) they may be issued.You get a good pet talk about these things then you
get a questionair tick the box. where are you taking the test■■?.A chap called Dave Turner (ex liverpool docker)dose a large area about 25 mile
radius of Chester if you get him you’ll have a good training… good luck let us know how you do.
