Was going northbound through the m6 roadworks (the main long ones) at 05:30 this morning and there was a Malcolm’s artic with smoke pouring out and 6 fire engines in attendance. Hope everyone was ok including the driver.
Got me thinking. How does a modern truck just end up in flames like that??

Modern trucks with Diesel particulate filters run very hot, to burn off the particulates.
Came past at 6am northbound nearly out by then,but 4 fire engines stuck in the queue going nowhere,big rolls of paper by the look of it as they had half the curtain open would have made more of a mess if they had gone up aswell.
Also got stuck coming south as inside lane is shut till 10 pm tonight,came past at 4pm no bugger doing anything or even there starting it.
