Lorry fire M25

One from my depot. I spoke to the driver earlier on the phone, he said that the red engine management light came on so he immediately pulled onto the hard shoulder and killed the engine. Whilst on the phone to our garage he smelled smoke. He jumped out and it was already ablaze!

It seems that lorry fires are more common nowadays. I wonder if it’s a result of the high exhaust temperatures coupled to miles of electrical wiring we have now?
