Lorry drivers food during Covid-19

Bishop Auckland

Hi folks, can I put this message up that I received this afternoon? From a friend of mine.

Hi, hope you are well and staying safe. May I pick your brains? We have opened up the catering facility at Bishops football ground to the public. It’s ideal for truckers. There’s ample free parking, toilet facilities, card payment and it spotlessly clean. Homemade pies and cakes available plus burgers etc and hot drinks. Do you have any ideas how I can promote this to the drivers? Thank you in advance ■■■

The address is; Heritage Park, Stadium Way, St. Helen, Auckland, Bishop Auckland, DL14 9AE.
It is situated behind Sainsbury supermarket on the by pass, could anyone put It on other sites please.

You could post it on that Facebook site I mentioned in another thread.

But I wouldn’t waste your time telling this lot on here; they’ll just trash talk you for trying to do something useful to help others.

Cocacola kid shared it on Facebook. I copied it to here.

There are many FB sites that are posting places to eat.

Is another.

Also is Ma’s at J27 M1 northbound. Kim is open from 6am until around noon. Highly recommended by me. Up the sliproad to the top, and look over to your left.

The layby takes 3 artics max and is always full up, usually with cars and vans. There’s nowhere to turn round either if there’s something parked at the bottom end of the layby, it’s about 3 miles of road to Underwood and you don’t have much option than to screw it round in the T-junction. There are 2 big laybys on the other side of J27 so you can theoretically walk over the motorway, but those are nearly always brimming with cars as well.
