Well, if you don’t even understand what the word “murder” means, then how can you expect people to take you seriously?

MO(Topgun):
Well after reading this topic i have to agree with ady1,i dont think you can really be excused for running into a standing queue of traffic, any driver worth is salt should and always be extra careful when being blinded by the sun and if ya on a unfamilar road,to kill that lady he must have ploughed into her car and not just hit it,every driver out there has at some time made an error of judgement,i have and ive stood up when asked what was that about ive admitted it was my mistake, that poor girl as lost her life and a husband as lost his wife and it will no dought stay with them and the driver until there dying day,its sad all round but just to repeat there no excuse for ploughing into stationery traffic, you drive to the conditions,i also would expect to be dealt with if i ever done the same and i hope and pray i never do…my thoughts go out to that girls family and hope that one day they can come to terms with whats happened and also the driver because he will have to live with what he"s done…another tragic case all round…
ignore them mo,there not fit to lace our boots, the useless ■■■■■ think its o.k to run into a stationary car killing the poor lass
then they all go round saying poor lorry driver, you really couldnt make this ■■■■ up could you
anyway hows things, were stacked with work, running maxium hours nigh on
making a good profit again so im informed, not bad with a double dip recession is it,profit,
look after yourself brother

Yes, when someone completely changes a quote to imply that another poster said something that they didn’t actually say, then you have to wonder about their motives for doing that…
I’m struck by the similarities between the posts of “Ady1” and “MO(Topgun)” and wonder if an admin could check if these are coming from the same IP address?

Your probably right about the same address “HM” as anything that appears to come from the direction of “the fast eddie mob” should be absorbed with a hefty “pinch of salt” at all times,I see that the share price is on the way south again ! More smoke and mirrors lads, keep the “mirage” shimmering ! Bewick.
Why do you always revert to the same old crap of paying peanuts as caused the death of that girl, what the driver was being paid or what he earns as nothing to do with the fatal error he made that day,yep i drive for the green army as well and i still stick by what ive said, blinding sun or unfamilar road, its extra caution at all times and with him being from Malton,i"d lay money on it that he knew the road fairly well,it doesn"t alter the fact that he ploughed into that traffic and to me thats unforgiven and the girl paid for that error with her life,as ive said before all involved, family and driver will have it with them until their dying day,and tell me Hairy Monk, what haulage company up and down this land doesn"t employ and idiot or two, after all somebody employed you didn"t they,my thoughts are with that girls family and the driver who has to live with what he"s done,i just hope other drivers who read these remarks that weve all made regarding this tragic case will learn from that drivers mistake and hopefully prevent it happening to them…

Cool, I should be ok then, just submitted an application…
They guy never did it deliberately did he ffs, I am sure none of you have never been blinded by the sun have you…no thought not, I forgot I was surrounded by the elite of truck drivers on this forum.
For the record should it come to light the guy was texting/or similar whilst driving and did that I would be first in line to see him burn in hell…
As already said, tragic event with no winners
If he had been doing something willfully dangerous such as speeding, on phone or drunk then I’m sure it would have been mentioned in the case, as it wasn’t I think we can rule these out. Same goes for a mechanical fault with the truck.
Can someone explain what ‘a long stretch in prison’ would acheive in this case?
1] to stop the driver going out and doing it again.
2] to deter any other drivers thinking of doing the same sort of thing
Seems an accident can’t be an accident…the whole definition of the word accident surely should give the courts a clue on sentencing ■■?
I see no reason for jail either personally.
Here’s the view approaching the traffic lights.
As you can see, there’s a cleverly placed roadsign stopping you from actually seeing the lights or a dozen cars queuing at them. The distance from the above view to the sign is 200ft or 60 meters. From the sign to the stop line is another 100 meters. If there was a car stopped just after the sign which was hidden by it, you have about 150 meters from where I’ve done the above to the back of the car.
The Crown Prosecution Service’s case had been that Bulmer had 285m to stop
Depends on where you’re measuring from.

Same on the southbound A249 Detling Hill.
A roadsign to the industrial estate, perfectly placed to obstruct the view of lorry drivers needing to go to the industrial estate. Perfectly positioned at “Driving seat height and totally obstructing the view of the opposite carriageway”
A completely superfluous road hazard.
I would write to the local Council about it if I thought there was a chance in a million of them listening to me.
I’m still puzzled as to why MO(Topgun), the arrogant and intensely dislikeable driver from the television series “Eddie Stobart Trucks and Trailers” has been posting here as “Ady1”, trying to persuade TruckNet members to sign up to the Stobart franchaise deal.
Surely MO must have realised by now that the television producers only invited him to appear on the programme in order to make a fool of him?
