Yeehah! Yep - got me there rob (or is it roy?) I just LURV trucknet for this very reason!
(apologies to op for blatant hi-jack)

The trouble is unless the Case is straight forward there is every chance the alleged perpetrators will walk as Essex police are absolutely useless beyond words and unfortunately are led by a worse than useless police commissioner .

ive got to be missing something here but why would a twenty year old be hanging about with kids that young in the first place

Immature or “learning difficulties” 20 yr-old likes to hang around with younger kids as they don’t present the same social challenges as his peers would. Meanwhile the youngsters like to hang around with the older kid as he has ready access to booze, ■■■■ etc and makes them feel more grown-up. Used to see it all the time during my previous career in the police service.

Something has gone seriously wrong in this country, a fish rots from the head down.

Times have changed massively even in my lifetime (I’m 33) back in the day a disagreement was solved by a bit of a scuffle and maybe a black eye or a bloody nose, unfortunately nowadays people will stab someone without thought just as easy as years ago you’d punch someone, there is no regard for life anymore.
This is the main reason I have been taking my son karate since he was 5 yrs old,he is 8 now…as a parent I feel a responsibility to equip my child with a means of self defence should he ever need it.

Whoa back there old son. Years ago (old codger now) I was fairly well up in Tong Long Kung Fu (Southern Praying Mantis) when I was set upon by three gits in a ute. One of them pulled a long handled spade out the back and swung it. To cut a long story short, I done the three of them but if they had knives it would, I’m sure have been a different story. The spade in the face only stirred me into meaning it whereas a knife or two and I probably wouldn’t be here now. Don’t let your boy get too confident.

Condolences to this poor bloke family.

When we were kids we played games like Cowboys and Indians (That’s bovine attendants and Native Americans to the younger pc  ) war games, cops robbers etc , after imitating the old John Wayne type films… Ok it was in the 60s in my case, the films we imitated were pretty tame by today’s standards with little true violence and gore.
Somebody was shot and they went down groaning holding their chest, now you see heads being graphically blown off, and limbs being severed.
Just look at some of the computer games some young kids play on today, the level of violence is unbelievable, and shocking.
Kids today have become anaethetised to violence, imitate what they have seen and so we get where we are today.

Agree. Some of the mums my Mrs speaks to at our sons’ school are surprised/shocked that at 4 years old he’s watched Bond films, mostly the old ones. He caused a stir imitating the 007 gun barrel intro with a water pistol. I did the same with a cap gun 30 years ago and shocked nobody.

13 yr old charged with murder, and what will SHE get, couple of years max and be out boasting to others not to mess with her as shes been inside for murder, she wont show any remorse whatsoever, little piece of sxxt, when shes 18 she will get all the help she needs from the authorities,[benefits, council flat etc]while the truckers wife and kids will be left to struggle on,typical scenerio

Not quite - The youngest one actually charged is 15 (which is bad enough!). The 13 yr old has been released on bail until December, at which point she may or may not be charged.

yeah, realised my mistake and corrected elsewhere,

They won’t be doing that when the beak sentences them - the kids will be sobbing and the rellies coming out with a stream of industrial language.

This happened where I live right outside the school my boys attend. The police presence has been overwhelming and just behind our house there’s a field with a pond which has been the focus of a lot of attention, I’m assuming they’re trying to find the murder weapon. A guy down the street alerted the police when he found blood-stained clothes discarded in his wheelie bin. As you can imagine, it’s shocked the entire community and just makes you wonder what these out of control little turds are carrying on them and will use when you confront them. Even when you’re defending your own property.

I bet every single one of them is already known to the police.

I’m a bus driver in basildon, and although its like a episode of jeremy kyle everyday at the bus station, overall, I find the people of basildon very polite.
