Lorry driver killed in accident

The name has been released of a County Londonderry man killed in a crash on a motorway in the Republic of Ireland.

He was Richard Patterson, 45, from Castlerock.

The lorry he was driving overturned after it was in collision with a van at 12:45 local time on Thursday.

The crash happened on the M1 southbound near Monasterboice in Drogheda, County Louth.
