I’ve seen the police cmpg Daf 85 today and yesterday on the m6 ,the adverts would have you belive it’s got police on the front and batenburg on the side but no it’s all white with blue lights in the grill ,PN15HRK I think ,low roof sleeper with roof kit on .

Here you go.

Although I thought it was quite obvious that the liveried Scanias were just for publicity shots.

Wearing their hi viz whilst driving as well  complete fail.

If they’re undercover then they have to blend in with the bell ends. :stuck_out_tongue:

funny it says tablet and not phone…could be argued that when your mobiles on satnav,or playing movies , is it still a phone though not being used as one? if so,there wil be a lot of tablets being sold now.was there not a load of prosecutons being fought because plod videod a load of rubber neckers using their mobiles to video a crash on some motorway a while ago with the defence being they were video cameras at the time??

Theres a well know driver on youtube who drops the front blind must be doing  50 on the dual carrige way

actually on 2nd thoughts…if they really want to look undercover and they are double manning in a basic spec low roof cab, would they not be better to stop washing and shaving for a few months, drive along holding a camera hidden inside a cabbage or a crusty loaf, with their bare feet,or at leaste wear socks with big holes up on the dash, and paint flipflop signs over the doors?..not forgetting a numberplate in the dash saying slimebagangus in bulgarian??

Talk about a load of hypocrites, what you have never taken a phone call or made a call with phone to ear or done something that you shouldn’t have or for that matter tried to look at something on your phone while driving, hypocrites

So says a man who would crap or pee in another drivers cab, because he was taking too long on a fuel pump. :unamused: :unamused: :imp:

None, but I needed new headlights, front grill and bonnet, so I’ve not done it again!

I don’t think it’s hypocritical at-all, regardless of the legally of it I’m sure many of us have done what we’ve needed to do whilst driving, Youtube videos don’t need watching.

You need to adjust the rear view mirror so it looks out the rear window! :grimacing:

once went onto a soft verge and sunk down to the axles, about 6 hours to get going again - I was just trying to get me smokes off the bunk

Since I no longer drive an HGV, I can honestly say, that I’ve had my laptop and/or iPad open and playing on the dashboard of my lorry for years. Whatever is on - Talks at Google@Youtube, The Wire, Game of Thrones, I merely listen to it, not much difference to listening to the radio. As has been mentioned, it beats being bored to death when driving down an endless motorway (such as the A10 from Paris to Bordeaux, next turn in 563kms  ) and never do I have it open in dense traffic or difficult road conditions.

In those years I’ve done the horrible deed (6-7years, half a million klicks prolly), haven’t had a single accident or even come close, thanks to being an observant driver, always keeping a safe following distance and generally driving defensively. I’m sure all the “lock 'em up and throw away the key” crowd can say the same.

same for me…ive nuked my dinner, made up pieces, ate them, with crisps, peeled oranges or apples, watched telly, movies, the simpsons etcetc,on the cruise, steering with your knees sometimes,or foot on the dash for a wee stretch.(easypeasy in a auto).texted, phoned, all the frowned upon antics.driven for years, and never any greif…I would think that theres less distraction doing that, than being glued to a satnav wondering where your going,or being bored to tears at 56.the trick is picking the right time and place to do so.either you can drive and remain switched on to your surroundings,or you cant…then theres some that cant no matter what theyre driving, cars or anything else.the only time my attention wanders is now and again, ive tried sitting at 40 on the A75 or similar.(only now and then though).
