Looks nasty, hope all involved make a quick recovery.
In the meantime, westbound is open but eastbound still closed.

I was stuck in the W/B que when it got shut for the air ambulance.
It’s not seen in the photos, but the mountain scania had Nsf damage on the cab. The Citroën is ■■■■■■
What’s the betting some one slowed down for the slip and the lorry driver didn’t. Or I could be totally wrong. And the Citroën brake checked once too many times
…
Or I could be totally wrong, and it was complete accident.
ouch! nsf front damage? and it appears they (the emergency services) are all in a layby, you do the maths on that one!

I use this road daily, that junction is normally alright, cars don’t tend to hang around there.
latest on that is 4 people escaped with minor injuries, and the lorry driver has been bailed.
Drove down the slip and on to that section of road to night, theres a fresh super single skid mark that’s swerves from lane 1 in to lane too.
Thinking about it, when passing I clocked a lot of holiday type luggage on the side of the road. Looking like it been pulled out of the Citroën.
I wonder if the Citroën had stopped on the side of the road and the scania didn’t see it…

How the hell did you work that out??

very easy. It’s quite wide. And it would match the type of tyre that is fitted to the trailer that was being pulled by the unit that was involved with the crash yesterday.
As well, you don’t see many non super single skid marks anymore. But you do see twin and super singles that are fitted to trailers. And also trailer wheels are more likely to lock up under braking as they only have ebs/abs fitted on one axle. But it reacts over all the axles.
Thread bump.
Driver got 9 points and £500 fine… And guess what, he was distracted by his phone…
I don’t understand that sentence, the driver was extremely lucky not to have killed anyone, admits it was his fault through using his phone, the courts impose 9 points fine?? Surely that’s ban territory.

Now he has been convicted, it’s likely he will get an invite to visit the traffic commissioner which could result in further punishment.

9 point’s is maximum court can impose, without going to crown, if cps, had changed it to reckless driving, and dropped the phone charge, could have been banned, instantly, would think traffic commission, will revoke his licence.

I’m sure I read recently, that the TC’s are going to start revoking lgv entitlements in relation to distracted driving convictions. This chap maybe able to use the fact that the TC’s hadn’t made their intentions clear until recently, but going forwards, anyone convicted will have some serious question to answer.
