Note the Drink or Drug referral…Everyone saying they hope he gets the book thrown at him
How many of you have take cold or flu stuff or hay fever stuff , Its the same thing
remember if you get pulled drink and drugs includes a vast amount of over the counter drugs for simple ailments
I very much doubt he got arrested for drinking lemsip! Even if he was taking vast amounts of hay fever meds that made him unfit to drive then he shouldn’t have been driving. End of.
You need a large amount of buttercup syrup to be over the limit me thinks.

Looks like a Maritime skelly with a subbie?Nope. a felixstowe haulier with a good sized fleet. begins with a f is all im saying.
This is still a prominent story in the East Anglian Daily Times.
My [limited] understanding is that FLS are a truck and trailer hire company as opposed to being a haulier in their own right? The truck was also carrying the livery of ‘Supreme Freight’ who seem to be a freight agency of some sort.
well my understanding of fls and its quite well informed, is the the owner (martin graves) cant get an o licence of his own so he sets his guys up as self employed , they get an o licence, and then they rent the tackle off him and he runs the trucks basically as they are his - which they pretty much are, I was once tipping in Merthyr Tydfil next to one of fls’ drivers/owner drivers… whatever, and the guy quite happily told me how he did one everyday of the week - which cant be done legally, and that’s only the tip of the ice burg , another one of their drivers/owner drivers… whatever, went to see one of my mates in her office one day, reeled of what he’d been doing that week (it was only Wednesday at this point) and she said what he’d done by that point couldn’t be done in a week!!! so I don’t doubt that the authorities will find something amiss here and I hope they shut the whole job down. no sympathy what so ever!!
anybody remember this??
The thing with these cases is you never hear what the end result is. He may have been arrested but we’ll probably never know what happened.
Re sucking the drains out; if a load of citrus fruit leaked into the sewer what harm could be done? Also why does the barrier need to be replaced then! Couldn’t it wait until the quieter hours? There are many miles of contra flow, coned off areas up and down the country with only a flashing light and a few cones separating traffic, couldn’t this damaged stretch wait a bit?
H+S.Without the barriers the road is not safe.

I mis read the report, thought it said Citrus juice, but anyway its classed as a polutant and would be Acidic. Driver I knew years ago went over on the A1 with a load Robinsons cordial, in bottles just add water to drink, thats surely not hazardous they pumped drains for about a mile each way.

I don’t get this though. What are the actual chances of a car going through the missing section? Like i said, there are many miles of contra flow traffic and coned off areas up and down the country with thin air separating traffic from men working etc. Alright they might have a 50mph speed limit, but the point is the same. Why can’t it wait a few hours?
Just wack in a temporary speed limit job done.
Maybe no barriers are ok,but broken barriers leaves the county open to claims if there is an accident?

Possibly, I just assumed they were missing after being wiped out

very dodgy set up the firm should be shut what annoys me is these so called blue chip companys like maritime etc allow cowboys like these to sub for them and the answer in a nutshell is because there cheap and they can maximise there profits buy using subbies like this if you want to be an o/d do it properly and legally and get good paying work instead of chasing crap paying tin box work rant over
