“Fake news”?
A newspaper of a certain ‘tendecy’ reports on a thought from a junior Labour MP as if it’s official policy or summat. Yeah, that’s a fair description.
An ill thought out idea tis true. Stands little chance of going further I’d guess.

You know why they’re putting out this project fear about Labour? To stop drivers voting for a government that might actually increase their wages and reduce their rents.
I should adopt a new joke. What do you call a thousand bankrupt hauliers? A good start! That is, a good start on squeezing out the excessive number of firms all competing down drivers’ wages.
Well it worked on me I would not vote for that duck head,he could not run a bath, let alone a country

Even the bosses themselves - the industrialists I mean, not the tin-pot small businessmen who claim to be “wealth creators” with 10 staff on minimum wage - think Corbyn’d do a better job with the economy than the Tories are doing.

Is that the same 'industrialists among the Confederation of European Industry who think that closing down ‘British’ industry in favour of outsourcing to race to the bottom cheap labour parts of Europe,or even better doing business with Communist China, while what’s left goes to the Germans,is the way to go.Leaving the choice here between a job at a large burger chain or the local Fish and Chip shop.On that note I’d guess that the large burger chain employs more than 10 staff. What’s not to like.Corbyn and his Commy Chinese mates keep their submissive deluded dependent underclass while the ruling elites, including the Germans, are all laughing while they count their cash.Oh wait isn’t that also what Tories are doing.
I see a “wealth creating” business as one who takes someone off benefits - OFF them for LIFE, the job they’ve taken up at that business being that good a quality line of work.
If you create 10 jobs that need tax credit top-ups - then that is wealth DESTRUCTION for the wider taxpayer.
Quality of jobs created - means everything then.

if corbyn gets in then were all doomed as he cant even make his mind up what he wants and along with his front bench i think they are doing an audition for the new muppet show.
thersa may is so blinkered that she is blind to what is happening around her, even the cabenit is now trying too steer the dingy in oppisite directions.
wee jimmy crankie in scotland is fancying a shot a becoming pm so it cant get any worse.
whatever happens were all screwed so no point in worrying about it until the ■■■■ hits the fan
Don’t worry, there’s more chance of seeing Lord Lucan riding Shergar down Downing Street than you have of seeing Jeremy Corbyn walking through the door of 10 Downing Street as Prime minister

The Mail and Express are known and respected for their diligent fact-checking and reporting of the truth. Erm . . . aren’t they?

Did he?
If he did, do you think that potential Labour supporters will think that she isn’t “silly”?
There may be some, true.
How many Tory voters took umbrage when Ken Clarke called her a “bloody difficult woman”?
Is this a case of double standards depending on who used the “W” word?

You can call me a bloody difficult woman, and I’ll take it as a compliment.
Call me stupid - that’s what it looks like - and you’d better have your running shoes on.

As Albion says there is a big difference between being called a difficult woman and a stupid woman, this week Corbyn has shown how incompetent and lacking in leadership he is. He is facing a governing party that is tearing itself apart and yet he cannot land a decisive blow on them or come up with a better plan himself. He never has been nor never will be a leader in the true sense of the word and is being played as a useful idiot by others in his party and momentum.

They said similar things when Donald Trump announced he’d run for presidency.

Of course, you and Albion make a good point. And I’m sure you both realise I’m doing a bit of stirring here.
But it’s not being called “difficult” or “stupid” that’s the problem here is it? It’s the perceived misogyny isn’t it?
After all Corbin happily admits to calling the PM one of the “stupid people”, and there seems to be no protest at that!
My, possibly mischievous, remark about Ken reflects that men are seldom called “difficult”. Women and men are perfectly equal in being “stupid” and we all know of examples of both. But I’d suggest “difficult woman” is more used than “difficult man”?
There is of course the argument that a Tory ‘big beast’ was merely acting true to form? Maybe Labour supporters will be more outraged if Corbin is shown to be sexist?
I go back to my question:
double standards?
For what it’s worth I reckon there’s more pantomime than serious work being done in Westminster over this. Looks like it’s dividing on party lines already: a welcome diversion where the tribes can actually (appear) united for once!

He (Corbyn) seems more likely than not to have said ‘difficult woman’.The Speaker would not even look at video evidence. If he(Corbyn) had admitted his unfortunate choice of words and apologized, then this may have gone away. But he didn’t,and appears to have lied directly to parliament. That’s what will cost him dearly
Are we really that far down the PC road that calling someone a stupid woman becomes the lead story on news headlines? I despair sometimes, all sorts of atrocities happening globally and we’re worried about someone’s bloody feeling! Has anyone actually taken the time to ask the PM if she was upset by two little words, or is this a case of someone taking offence on someone else’s behalf?
How much crap can the Govt manage to sneak in by the back door whilst our attention is diverted by this crap?

But he didn’t. But don’t let facts get in the way of a good rant…
Don’t suppose Corbyn ready to lay down a motion of no confidence in the government has anything to do with the fury, faux IMHO, from the tory benches?
