Every time I see one of Joe Sharps immaculate scanias, I can’t help but notice how odd the trailers look. All scruffy looking tandem boxes. What other firms run tidy units but trailers totally out of sync?
Traction only?

One of the things that really does bug me at times, is when you see a really smart looking unit, usually fairly new. Then a trailer which looks older than me! (I’m 23). Tyson H Burridge from Distington are a bad firm for this.
The Yodel MAN units pulling those crappy Littlewoods trailers.
Looks like they’ve seen better days

they do a lot of clothes for ASDA and all those box trailers have hanging rails in, i suppose they would be expensive to replace knowing they could become redundant if ASDA fall out with them

this.
have seen some awesome Sharp units in our depot
Could be that box trailers don’t suffer as much wear and tear due to the lighter loads and the type of work? Does seem to be a lot of long aged box trailers about.
Evans Transport, nice shiney new Scania drawbar units, pulling a rusty tatty old trailer from the old truck that it replaced, why they didnt replace the whole lot or at least spruce up the old trailer i dont know, seems a shame really because their livery is quite tidy.
SNT have very smart units, some of the trailers look dated

I do quite like the teardrop trailers they have.
On a similar theme, I’m often tickled to see some wagons with loads of bling and polish,
but fitted with really cheap and nasty tyres (!)

You actually take notice of their tyres?
B&M - mainly new Scanias pulling scrap metal on wheels. Although I think they have some new curtain siders?
Woolies when exel had the contract were the best.
Got new red K plate Scanias and load of new 33 and 44 foot Tidd trailers.
All the old light blue trailers went off and got painted in battleship grey, were still running them when Wincanton took it over in 95.
