I sent out numerous emails and cvs, only passed my final part of cpc a week ago. Anyhow I got a call last night about a email they had received and wanted a chat. So we had a chat and he says “so what experience have you had” (even tho my email said none). I replied to him none iv just passed, “ahhhhh” was his reply. I said I just need a chance to prove myself and someone to give me that chance, to which he says “OK tell you what come In tomorrow and we’ll go for a drive and see how you do”. Iv just done that drive and he was impressed so now I’m going out tomorrow to learn the ropes of the quarrys with a another driver Annie. Onc she is happy that I know the ropes I get my own truck and off I go. Wow I’m so happy right now.

Did 3 tips today and got 5 in morning then I’m on my own. On my last tip today I had a awkward reverse, they wanted this load at the back of the site. I managed it tho, had to use diff lock as the site was a bit muddy and lost bit of traction, All was good tho. My banksman couldn’t believe it was my first day.

Thank you Toby, I didn’t see the point in lying as it always catches up with you.
Just a quick update, I’m into my second week on my own with my own truck. She’s a old girl but I guess I have to earn my strips haha. All is going well apart from the bloody slap stick.
Longs you are enjoying mate. Pity wasnt up to date lorry. But hey its start bud. Am sure you will be driving plenty more and you will get used to your lorry anyway am sure
