I heard it on the radio dont really know what its about but its free and looks like fun…
People build these little cars, made of wood or metal, and race them down a short hill-track. They dont have engines-this is why they race down a hill 
There is also the RedBull “Flugtag” where they build airplanes, or just wings, and run off a high ramp into a river . Its happening in Belfast this year too!
I was talking on the phone to my Nephew last week who has entered a soap box racer in this event and is being sponsered by MAX POWER, they gave him 500 quid and did a photo shoot with some scantily clad girls.
I don’t know if they still do it, but there used to be the National Soap Box grand prix every year at Blakesley, Northants.
