HI guys
looking for a good training company in Liverpool to take my class 1 been ringing around a few company’s online but finding it really hard to choose i don t want to be ripped off, if any one can help please let me known …thanks …
Hello winfrank seeing nobody else seems to have any info I will try to steer you in the right direction.
You certainly have to be very careful and you should try to find a school with properly qualified Instuctors.
I had a quick look on the net at Liverpool Training but nothing really jumped out but that’s not to say they are not any good.
Maybe even consider using a company near Liverpool if they have properly registered Intructors.
Other than that you can sometimes go by word of mouth or even try to find some reviews.
Good luck anyway and remember the cheapest is not always the best.
Dont know of any companys in liverpool BUT I can highly recommend ELGV in Manchester there prices are good and service is great plus the kit aint bad either… Its only 20 mile down the road
Redrose training, Preston.
Quality.
Try TOWN &COUNTRY winfrank they are kirkby area, owners son is a mate of mine
heard town and country arent too bad mate, heres a link
lol both posted the same time there comet
Heres a couple of tips, always ask if they are dsa approved instructors, if there not, move on, when you find one that is ask what grade they are, 1 being the lowest, 6 the highest. then ask what the pass percentages are. A good driving school will have no problem answering these questions, a cowboy will. Finally ignore Rogs list, to many cowboys & chancers on it.
I passed with town and country first time for everything, class 2 class 1 and CPC mod 4 , Shaun the son of the owner is a good tutor and so is his dad Steve, they won’t rip you off either, they’ll tell you when your ready and won’t take any more money off you than you need, I’d strongly advise using them to learn mate!
have a look at (paul tunstall) paulslgvtraining.com it’s in hindlet green in wigan - paul’s ex comet driver trainer and ex iceland c+e. paul’s also dsa trained and has an hgv test centre literally round the corner from his yard, all the routes that he uses are the ones that will be used on test day - so no surpises.
good luck.

If there are issues with any provider on the list them please make those issue known to the rest of us
DSA approved instructor is not a measure of a good instructor - it just shows that they can pass certain DSA tests
There are good and bad approved and non approved LGV instructors so go by recommendations
enterprise in manchester you wont go wrong with this firm
I would also recommend Town and Country, Steve is a brilliant instructor
Give Mark Thompson @ North West HGV Training a ring great instructor based in Widnes
here’s is web site http://www.hgv-training-northwest.co.uk/
