There is a company local to you, i work for them so i can’t/won’t name them. But we are well known, advertise regularly for drivers so you should have seen our advert at sometime. We have a handful of longterm drivers and a handful that turnover very very regularly, there maybe a recession on but you still stuggle to get reliable, flexible drivers with good attitudes. :unamused: :grimacing:

S&K keep their trucks on. If its a good reliable motor, why get rid of it, even if it looks a bit rough?
It could just as easily have been away for a few weeks and have just turned around to do a few more. With X-mas coming up, perhaps the driver could do with a few extra bob in his pocket, so decided to work and catch up on his X-mas break.

Most, although not all places in Europe close down for X-mas.
So a lot of haulage companies doing Europe also shut down for X-mas.
We will, although if anything worth while comes up, the boss will ask one of us if we’d like to do it (or he might do it himself).

I can’t remember if they’ve already been mentioned, but most of Boyles (the Irish firm) drivers are Scots from around Glasgow ish. You could also try G&S (reefers) from Bellshill.
