All finished now, go and stand outside Dover Eastern Dock and it’s just one eastern European truck after another going in and out. They aren’t taking loads to and from eastern Europe, they are going to France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Greece, everywhere we used to go, they don’t set off on Sunday and get back on Friday, they spend several weeks in western Europe at a time, anxious to work as many hours as possible. Employers love them. Nobody will ever pay me £500 to go to Barcelona and back again.

careful harry, i said this months ago on here about the eastern europeans not going to eastern europe and all i got was grief from those who can’t see past the end of their nose and think there’s nothing wrong with the situation.
there are trucks from RO, BG and SK loading groupage in spain and portugal for the UK every week then reloading to come back down, not going anywhere near their home country or operating base at all.

Try Bailey international they are bristol, also isis, scriven, Ralph Davies at cheltenham, mortimers at melksham, all I can think of at the mo.
