Should be one in this lot somewhere! :smiling_imp:

cheers anymore links ? ? ? ? ?

Try this one. Looks like a nice little Cobra AM set…

Or perhaps this one. Again, a nice little AM set.

There are always sets available on eBay - and very often for hardly any money too! :smiling_imp:

which is used most by truckers AM or FM?

I don’t know why everyone seems to like AM

I always used FM back in the UK and the range was far better because the signal follows the earths curvature, I could talk to a mate upto 60 miles away on a clear night :exclamation:
Using AM here, the range is rubbish. :open_mouth:

AM ■■■■■… sat parked a few miles from the interstate, with twin sticks, i could barely recieve a thing unless they were running kickers. I got more range on my baby midland back home than I did from my high end cobra over here.

It`s mostly FM in the UK, Daz. The reason Ross is looking for an AM set is because the Irish lads use it

cheers for that trev.i thought it was but ross`s post gave me doubts

In the UK (and I believe most of Europe, but could be wrong) most people use FM as that’s the one that is legal.
