Hi all just a couple of little tips from my experience of looking for a start as a newly qualified Class 2 driver.

  1. Sounds silly but stick an ad on Gumtree, i stuck one on there basically saying i was newly qualified and needed to gain experience. I’ve had 3 job offers from that ad on Gumtree !
  2. If youre really struggling to get a start, try removal companies, i’ve found that they seem to be the most companys looking for drivers, yes theres heavy manual work involved (which is why no driver wants the job) but youre also getting that all important experience that most companys want.

Good advive and I’ll be doing that straight away. I passed my Class 2 a couple of weeks ago with two minors but am struggling to get a start with anyone.
