He made a good job of that. Known a few (not Leylands though) that have broken their backs, though usually the chassis broke where a Hiab was fitted. Had a BMC FJ four wheeler snap in half at the Hiab on the old A4 through Reading back in the sixties, it was one of Thomas W Wards and was loaded with scrap gas valves. The load was transferred to an empty eight wheeler, taken to a weighbridge and that was found to be overweight! :open_mouth: At Tilcon we had a Sed Ak 400 snap the chassis on one side at the tipper ram bracket, the driver complained of wandering steering but still drove the truck back to the yard!
