isnt it funny how all the ones that turn their nose up at a blinged up grunter all seem to drive [zb],axors, and are either working for stobarts, tosco,or some other brain numbing limper job… :open_mouth:

lmao yep

I don’t want anything with extra lights, chrome, colour coded ā€œtake your boots off inside pleaseā€ interior…Simply because I couldn’t look after it to the standard the owner would expect. I will not deliberately damage anything but I wont cry about stone chips, scratches, dirty interior etc.
I wouldn’t intentionally mess up someone elses’ cab but I will not keep it in Truckfest winning standard just because you do either.

I don’t like Scania’s but those V8’s do sound nice.

My post is knocking Scanias, I used to own a 142 before they brought in speed limiter law,the ā– ā– ā–  in the Sawers long bonnet thought he was the dogs testicles and left his full set of lights on for half a minute so the two old sad gits stood on the motorway bridge could take numerous photos of this idiot with his cowboy hat .
As I said, rust bucket of a trailer with number plates made out of a Kelloggs cornflakes cereal box.
Craic on, give it the tang wave while wearing dealer boots and a lumber jack chequered shirt and sunglasses that cost £ 1.99 from Moto .

Really? I work nor drive for any of the above but I don’t want a ā€˜loud’ truck because I respect other people asleep when I set off early. I don’t ā€˜need’ extra lights because factory ones are sufficient. I especially don’t want extra chrome :unamused: fancy paintwork :unamused: because of this

I get paid to drive, deliver and collect, not pose and pout for spotters

The way I see it too ,you could buy my lorry with the interest some of these blingsters pay on the loan !

Don’t forget to do the tang wave for old git spotters that have no ā– ā– ā–  drive , for the camera, show them your dealer boots while driving .

Look at me in my wide bodied Boeing !!
Regards John.

That reminds me, John…
Is it the time of year that farmers spread manure?
I can smell bovine excrement.

I would drive one of Burnley Si’s motors in a heartbeat. Nice blinged up V8 Scanny.

GET ON!!!

Is there anything that makes you happy Toby?

Perhaps a roll of carpet and a claw hammer?

Professional driver would use a ball pein hammer - better for bashing their skulls in (allegedly).

Theres nothing wrong with a blinged up truck if thats your thing. Myself i like an Eminox stack, plain ally tanks, and chrome wheel trims and thats about it. Having 8-10 spotlights, bull bars, windscreen stone guards is just going to add extra pointless weight really and just makes it a nightmare to clean …especially after a week in a hot climate and covered in flies…

On another note, who remembers the flag days? A big string of them across the top of the screen and lots more stuck down the sides of the screen. One particular example i remember many years ago around the london area was a Daf 3300 and the driver had plastered his screen in just about every form of sticker and suction cup crap he was literally having trouble seeing out… :grimacing:

Yeah ! My first job as a driver, 7.5ton Bedford TL, thought I was the king   and with a larger window than the iconic TK, you could fit more flags in

Not funny, just reality that some guys just aren’t interested in bling and V8s. Each to their own…

I’m generally more impressed by a clean & tidy, well kept fleet motor of the Jack Richard’s ilk myself. Don’t mind a bit of chrome on the wheels (at the operators expense), but you can keep all the graphics, fairylights, spot lights, Kelsa bars & air horns etc. All a bit tacky.

The firm I work for have some nice motors, but i’d be quite happy if they replaced them all with fleet-spec plain white DAF CF’s if it meant a few more quid an hour.

When i got my first F10 i was 21 yrs old and worked for Jack Richards (C23 AVG) i too thought it the danglies and first thing that went on the screen…a suction cup ā€˜Volvo Trucker’ banner… . …

Re the T cab, why do people pay silly money, then tart up and then others go gaga over a truck that is now old hat? It’s just a normal Scania with the engine stuck out infront to appease Yank fans.

Not something I’d want to drive, but I was still very careful when loading this with topsoil this week. I don’t think Dave tang waves but I could be wrong, but I’m blinded when he flashes his lights at me.

i would load it the same way as i load every other ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  , if your daft enough to pimp a tipper :unamused:

My first aid certificate has long expired so I’m careful not to drop anything down the side.
