Anyone advise me whether it’s a good idea for me to take the hiab test just to allow me to work more sociable family friendly hours. I know money may drop, but prepared to take hit, to save my family. Any help most appreciated. Currently tramping, as you can see my predicament.

doing your hiab test will be a extra string to your bow when looking for new employment, so the simple answer is yes do it,
A lot of people think tramping is an easy job, but the weeks of separation can take its toll on a lot of relationships, you have to have a very understanding partner to make it work.
