I spoke to a guy the other night that used to work for Turners (he said the depot he worked at was near Cambridge.)
I mentioned I would like to go onto the continent driving and he mentioned an English company near Cambridge who used to deliver into Russia then onto China.
This was 4 years ago
He said the drivers used to be out for 3 months at a time.
Has anyone come across this company?
He does not know if this company is still trading or not.
Try contacting jj72 on here, he seems to have done quite abit of work in that area.
I think there used to be a company near Ipswich (maybe) called Eagle transport or freight ,or it may have been running out of the Eagle Freight Centre!!!..something like that anyway.
yeah had thought about eagle freight terminal at ipswich, they used to do russia and the baltics - as it happens saw a silver daf rigid today on the A14 with eagle relocations, ipswich on the side - must’ve reinvented themselves!
apart from murfitts who used to do moscow only, cannot think who he was on about - we’re 30 miles away from cambridge but it wouldn’t have been us as we’re far too secretive! oh and once and for all nobody went to china!
