Long Distance & New R Series Scaina?

Afternoon Everyone.

Talking to my partner over the weekend about doing more driving and trying long distance, just wondering what company does long distance now days and are you aloud to take your partners ■■

Also while asking the question which company runs the big Scania Streamline’s ?

not many will allow you to do so but surely the bunk is a good enough hiding spot? i take my lad with me all the time, he’s 16 and just climbs onto the bunk and pulls my sleeping bag over him, never had any problems

Yes i did think that to be honest, i think it’s for insurance reasons why it’s been stopped i suppose :unamused:

Surely which companies treat you right and pay you a decent wage are more important questions than which ones run big scanias.

Yes i suppose that’s another good question, but which does !!! i think at the end of the day most companies are the same and look for the same “cost” i would say if their got nice lorries which are clean, tidy then it’s good company to work for i use to drive for 1 of the best Mr Gilberts

Hiya mate,
Try Midas at Spalding. They deliver to Garden Centres all over. Sun or Mon to Friday and they have a number of new Streamlines. Nice smallish company with modern kit.

Wot’s wrong with a nice S21 Foden complete with a Gardner 150 ?

What’s wrong with eating a nice dog turd salad sandwich?

Nothing at all. I’ll take the job 'cos I’m sure it’ll turn out to be be a nice little earner at about 30 mph. Trouble is it’s gonna need short pin trailers to go behind it, but I’m sure it can cope with running at 38 tonnes. I’ll keep an eye out for you in the mirrors,'cos you’re gonna be stuck behind me for a while.

You need to relocate if it’s big bucks & top bollock Scanias you’re after… WhiteWhiteWhite covers both areas (certainly for units anyway, no proof of coinage)…have a look for the ‘our new toy’ thread and cream on…I meant dream on!!
