Long Departed Southampton Hauliers (Part 1)

Hi All,

Don’t know who it is but his Grandad was in The Wheatsheaf last Sunday :unamused: :unamused:

If he was in a bed in Glasgow he may be a Bay City Rollover !

Regards
Richard

Mappo good evening. I did not realise you were moonlighting back then. Having said that, I do know that the old folks home in Hedge End did struggle that year to get a cabaret act booked in time for their 1981 Christmas do. They were holding out til the last minute trying to get Keith Chegwin booked, but to no avail. Lucky for them you were free. Good experience for you as well you could ‘earn whilst you learn’. Those moments on the mic must have proved invaluable experience prior to the launch of your career in the star studded world of Bingo. Tone, no need for a mic, you have always been a great local celebrity in my eyes and if I hear of any gigs coming up soon, will get them to text you.

Bloody hell Jimmer, I did,nt even know those photos existed…bit of a shock.
There can only be one person responsible and it,s gotta be Paul Nichols ( thanks mate ) :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:
The comments received regarding above pics are exactly what I would expect from you lot. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Anyway on a serious note, mates rates may apply if you book well in advance and cash up front.

Twister…good luck with your treatment Neil and say hi to your dad for me.

C’mon lads, TIR Tone hasn’t changed a bit, his shirt was just as tight then as it is now! Could even be the same shirt!

Poor Tony
They do give you some stick, BUT boy have you given them loads & loads of ammunition over the years,
Next time you see a camera RUN!!!
Jeremy

Dont worry Jeremy, i,m only gonna venture out when it,s dark from now on. :unamused: :unamused:
I must admit that in the past i,ve been guilty of asking for stick with some of the pics i,ve posted
but i,m totally innocent as far as those last couple are concerned.
Blame Jimski and Paul. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Tony
Cameras do have have flashs so take care even at night
Jeremy

In fact I remember when Norman bought PHO 100P brand new but he sold it virtually straight away to Brants Demolition of Tadley from who i bought it many years later and converted in our yard to a 6X2 using the lift axle from an old Scania 110 rigid that Morgans of Waltham Chase were breaking.

Here it is after the conversion before painting
