Hi all Hi Tony I was in the pool today thinking of you all
was 42 here in Dubai Fabulous place but blimey Tone could you get a twenty foot container full of fifty pound notes !! I’m goonna need em !!
expensive or what !! And I know you’ll enjoy the drive out here
Thinking of you all Regards Jimski
My Grandfather worked at Blockrete for over 20 years in the batching plant. Hence why most of our garden at home (when i was kid) had fancy block paving and decorative concrete block walling!!! I never remember how it got there as my Gandfather didn’t drive and my Dad only had a motorbike then! Must have fallen off the back of a lorry like the one pictured!

this is my 3rd atempt so far!!! i am a ex soton driver, i mated at bakers in the sixtys, then went to jack hill at botley as a mate, then steersman on the big trailor, i started by driveing career at hills, ime wll retired now, and only just got in to computers!!! i have some photos of various job i did at hills, i hope to get tem on in later days, i am open to any help or advice for future attemps on this contraption!!!
Welcome Trunker88.
The secret is getting your fotos onto the computer. You can scan them (if you have a scanner) or you can foto them if you have a digital camera (easiest and quickest although not a perfect copy).
It is best to keep them small foto files 1mb or there abouts otherwise they take an age to upload or fail to upload completely!
There is a help topic at the top of the main forum. Have a read of that and come back for any more help from the Noels on here
Bakers and Hills are well covered on this thread.

Hello trunker08
There are a couple of names there i remember.Les Tull drove for Russell Davis for years mainly on TML contract if i remember correctly.
Bill Bodmin ended up at Henry Smithers as head of engineering.I think dad has a photo of Brian Pore and Bill Bodmin i will put it on at some point. All the names you mention ive heard dad speak of those drivers.I think dad mated with Reg Green for a while.Have you spoke to dad lately?
