Hi All
The mystery of what is on the tilt in the background of the Bakers (ERF) publicity shot on here & the scrapbook thread has been solved by a tanker on the scrapbook thread it is Seabourne Paneuropean Transport services.

Is this the same Baker’s who ran the Grey & Red ERF’s ?

no they belonged to maurice baker (aka mo) the erfs and later romans?
were eric bakers but they did run from the same place bakers wharf
i believe that eric bakers family may still own this

One of those trucks is now preserved and on the show scene. They were all well maintained by Jake ( Norman ) Woodward, Mo’s fitter. What he didn’t know about ■■■■■■■ engines, wasn’t worth knowing about ! I think Mo still has one tucked away somewhere, for prosperity !

From previous conversations with Russell Baker, I think that this is the one that he had previously held onto. He also pointed out that the current owner has painted the chassis red, instead of black.

Hi all not been on for a while as I’m in France on a site near Limoges on holiday in the RV and not had internet access, but well done for reaching 60 pages!

Spotted this on Bubblemans ‘Scrapbook’ thread with a Southampton conection Sea Route Ferry.

Thanks for putting that one on Fergie47 well worth seeing, As you said--------- lot’s of wheels. Never seen anything like the wheel set up on that drag :open_mouth: and I have been around a few years thought I had seen it all or most of it anyway.

Altitude

Another couple with simular set up, popular in Italy in the late '60’s, '70’s, Some axles on the truck and trailer steered. They were mostly RHD trucks as well.
