Hi all anyone hard how grizzly is getting on and what was his op for.
Hi Kev spoke to Terry this afternoon he is recuperating in his caravan at Souhbourne after open heart surgery for a tumour in one of the chambers. The op went well and nothing nasty was found. He’s a bit tired but otherwise doing ok.

I don’t know Pat, all I remember was this man with a gimpy leg back in the 70’s shipping in and out of So’ton. I would put him in his late fifties then.
Regards GAZ
Sounds like the same man he had a blue ERF that got badly smashed up at the front end and ended up in my yard, I ended up buying it and we cut it up and sold the 240 Gardner to someone in Barnsley.
I also remember he took a creamy coloured day cab Crusader out for a trip it was ex fairground and had military tyres on the backend, I ended up with that one too.
His son Keith worked for Southampton Waste Transport near to Ranks in the docks.
I think John Lee knows them well I will ask next time I see him.

TOMMYS TRANSPORT
Was,nt this the Tommy that had a blue Maggie Deutz, not sure if he did a bit
for Hocfun ( Colin Wilkes ). Had bad eczema on his arms.
If he,s the fella he helped me out once on Mt Cenis.
At the time i was working for someones Dad ( Hi Ron ) and had been
given one of THOSE permits from Newcastle via the I.O.W., which was fine
normally but this particular one had run out of date.
Cost me a day there til Tommy came along and gave me one of his.
