Don’t know if many of you will know who these two are!!

On the left is Bob Perrin (AKA Reggie) who had his own light blue F10 tractor and on the right is the late Albert Keebles (I think) out side my yard with the Henry Tyrer ERF and Tilt

Regards Pat

Hi ainacs

I remember Albert Keebles when he was on for Tyrer quite a character.
John Lee was also on there had a few good nights out with them in Maldon
when we used to tip at PSL Frieght used to be a pub there run by a ex driver
yacht or ship good for a lock in  Also British Shoe Company Liecester.
I was on for British Int think Tyrer used to do work for Tillar ? sure John had
a Merc. If you see John say hello been a few years

Regards Kev

MaggieD:
Hi Kev, I think the guy with the DAF was Jeremy Roberts, like Charlie a good laugh, I’d forgotten about Dual Carriage what happened to them ?
Regards MaggieD

MaggieD

I think a company from Liverpool took Dual Carriage over . Trailer services or
something like that used to have a lot of blue and white renaults. They used
to deliver new trailers and move rented trailers around the country. I stopped
pulling for them before they sold out I think a few people were owed money
when they went skint. When I started there they only done containers then
started doing tank containers for UTT, Stolt and a few Seabrook not a bad
paying job. Brought a DAF of British Int used to work for them after a couple
of years brought a Iveco then left to go back on european work.

Regards Kev

Mappo !!! you are well out of it , here are a couple of real old truckers , I wonder how many miles we have between us under our belts !!!

Thats a shifty looking bugger on the left.Would you buy a second hand lorry from him? Not likely!!

Not strictly southampton i know , but intesting , An F88 rigid , parked outside a routiers at St Lo , not far from me , and A pic of a Citroed 18 ton petrol truck , in a barn near ,me , 100% original , fantastic , i want it !!!

OK , so i cocked up !!! I blame the Red Juice !!! here is the other pic !!!

That 88 with a good wash could earn someone some dosh…no rust!

Although there is nothing to tell in the picture but many containers went to Livorno destined for Libya courtesy of Skillbeech. John Lee, Terry Weeks, Pete Munger, “Pint Size” Pete (Allo Mate!), Ian Elkins, Terry■■? (used to work for Trans. Services then bought his own motor), followed by a trip to Bergamo for washing machines.

Here are a couple of pics of Skillbeech trucks courtesy of John Lee

Regards Pat

A couple more John Lee is the one in the denim shirt
