Worked for them for a while, when they we’re Victory, then Ameys. Ron hatch / Len Seldon, great blokes to work for. One of the few companies to run dead straight, very hot on drivers hours, and all the trucks, trailers, and tackle, were kept immaculate. Got made redundant with about 20 others when they we’re taken over again. Heron bought them for the land only, it’s now a housing estate.
One tragedy before I worked there. A guy was taking his number plate off his trailer that was parked at the end of the yard on a slope. His mate thought he would help, and drew the pin without checking the airlines, It rolled back against the barrier and crushed him to death.
Nice bit of roping and sheeting behind one of my favourite cabs of the era.
Does anyone remember what was the difference between an Invincible and a Warrior?

Think the Invincible was the heavier of the 2, both in Artic and 8 wheeler form,
If I remember the Warrior was 28 gross and the Invincible at 32 T but they’re maybe more experienced guy’s to confirm / deny that.
The earlier ones had the air filter inside the cab above the engine cowling/passenger seat, that, and a stubby exhaust, and a ■■■■■■■■ engine, no wonder I’m going deaf !!

What? Eh? Speak up
I drove an Invincible too.
No one got the link between Souther Van Lines and Kingswood Transport?
Les Flack.
And the other part of the quiz?
The GMC van was owned by…Pete Munger hisself.
As we are in quiz mode: Who’s the driver (his truck is on the back)?
I dont recall that Daf truck, Gary nor the driver.
No doubt i,ll know his name when its revealed.
