Hi All
We have slipped to page 2 so here is a merry Christmas message to you all to get us back on page 1
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Cheers Rich
Rich the biggest waste to mankind the season of goodwill when every thing stops for a month give or take, makes it hard for January/February even if you are good at accounts so do away with it in my book just have Christmas day and Boxing day and let that be all nuff said, Grumpy Buzzer.
I went to Madrid with Colin Glasspool when he drove for Partrans, They did a lot of Paper for Wiggins Teape from South Wales.
Stuart (Baldrick) didn’t you drive the 111 Scania as well??
I used to pick up the occasional load of treated timber from Burt Bolton (or was it Burt Bolton & Haywood?) at Eling in 1966/7 and remember what seemed like dozens of steam cranes everywhere but probably really about half a dozen. Was still collecting and delivering to the same site, then known as Great Marsh, up to (I think) 2006 on chemical tankers till it closed.
Hi Richard bet young Angie is darting round the kitchen getting all ready for your Christmas feast, as you may have noticed I started a new thread based on your suggestion and I know you will have an experience to share during your professional haulage years before you were called to the BAR, that’s the bar Charlie One was leaning on waiting for you to buy him a drink not the legal type, cheers Buzzer.
Hi All,
Just had some very sad news, on the 18th November Gordon Crittell passed away.
Gordon and i worked to gether at Princes Commercials Southampton for about 10 years ( 1975–1985ish).
He was workshop foreman AEC and moved into sales about 1973 i believe.
His wife, May, has family arround her so is ok, a lovely man of our industry gone.
