Hello, I have no idea what happened to The Joker. Gary can tell you. I stopped being a trucker about 30 years ago.
Richard

Richard. You were never a trucker. You were a lorry driver like me.

But not as good! No offence intended! Regards Charlie

Harvey, Mark Compton bought it from me £5K IIRC and he sold it to an O/D doing Portugal. Having said that Elkie thought he saw it in Greece.

Rich the biggest waste to mankind the season of goodwill when every thing stops for a month give or take, makes it hard for January/February even if you are good at accounts so do away with it in my book just have Christmas day and Boxing day and let that be all nuff said, Grumpy Buzzer.

BAH HUMBUG I agree 100% we want to work rare in this country

Just as we were about to drop off the page…

I’m doing my bit for the planet in recycling, so here’s your Christmas card from last year being used again.

Have a great time y’all!

Bring back a few memories for Fergie and may be a few others, cheers Buzzer.

Burt Boulton used to have a depot in Soton if I remember correctly, Totton tar works ?

Hi Rob
Burt Bolton still own the tar works or if not until very recently.
Cheers
Rich

I used to pick up the occasional load of treated timber from Burt Bolton (or was it Burt Bolton & Haywood?) at Eling in 1966/7 and remember what seemed like dozens of steam cranes everywhere but probably really about half a dozen. Was still collecting and delivering to the same site, then known as Great Marsh, up to (I think) 2006 on chemical tankers till it closed.

Hi Richard bet young Angie is darting round the kitchen getting all ready for your Christmas feast, as you may have noticed I started a new thread based on your suggestion and I know you will have an experience to share during your professional haulage years before you were called to the BAR, that’s the bar Charlie One was leaning on waiting for you to buy him a drink not the legal type, cheers Buzzer.

Saw this picture and just wondered if you drove this motor Mr Tony Mapson, cheers JD.

Hi All,
Just had some very sad news, on the 18th November Gordon Crittell passed away.
Gordon and i worked to gether at Princes Commercials Southampton for about 10 years ( 1975–1985ish).
He was workshop foreman AEC and moved into sales about 1973 i believe.
His wife, May, has family arround her so is ok, a lovely man of our industry gone.
