What’s the matter with you mommie ■■■ sucking insecure fogies? You don’t need re-assurance that someone will turn up at a certain pub in Shirrell Heath on the bank holiday Sunday at the end of August do you?

SEE Y’ALL on the 28th of AUGUST!

Hi Charlie it’ll be nice to see you Charlie… At the bash !

Went to see Jim Street today with Tony Mapson, it was nice to see them both, we had a good old chat and did a few miles, and making sure all was aware of the coming roundup!! while I was there I had a call from Bob Cartwright who said he was looking forward to the do too !
So of I went home thought I’d get the car washed before I got home so went into Totton while my car was being washed I couldn’t believe it walking past my car was Mick Hennessy had a chat and Mick said he’d be coming to the do too, if he remembers !!
So all in all was a good day putting the word out for the doo !!
See you there !
R Jimmer

Well, Jimski… I must make that August bash. Many names I know some I can’t put a face to.
I’m in the Uk in September so a bit late , but I’ll make a real effort next year to time a visit end of August next year.

We nearly met earlier this year when myself , Tone and the QC Evans met for a convivial pint during my last trip " home " but you cried off at the last minute…

Apparently you gave some ridiculous excuse about " being busy " and having to take a well known BBC celebrity to Manchester Studios…
Delusion is a funny thing Jimski . It just creeps up on you.
Just ask Mappo about his story of being a Minder for Postman Pat in some obscure country village.I know for a fact he has all 1230 episodes on Betamax and has had them transferred to “Digital” …
Very sad.

EVERYONE knows that was Charlie…

Little bit miffed Balders. Nobody asked me. Is it because
I’m old and feeble? I could have made it. I still have my old logbook. However nobody wants you when you’re old and grey. Regards Charlie

My Dear Boy…
I suggested to QC in a PM that you might want to come along? I can forward evidence of this if required and TIR Tone might be willing to be called as a witness… No answer was received.

I can only think that the old boy knows he’s losing his touch and sees you as a threat…
He’s been very quiet lately on here…
I wonder if there’s a change of tack?
Replacing Louis Walsh on X Factor… ■■? :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

PS … If he does get in as a new judge… Might we finally have a chance of fame■■?
A new boy band ? Yes mate, we can be the Symbolicks…

I’ll be Sym…

Hope you well mate.

Hi Baldrick,and others,

Sorry I haven’t been on lately but I’ve had a bit of trouble with the authorities, since Brexit and the chance we may go back to permits,I have been busy printing some backing sheets with staple holes and some Non Quota / Ships stores permits :unamused: following a tip off from a whistle blower in Alton,I got picked up by the fuzz (made my eyes water!) but they didn’t find my red Cluses stamp, forged French Francs & Lira,so I’m ready to go as soon as the borders appear again.

The reason I was afraid to ask Charlie was because Jimski said if Charlie comes he was going to nip up and see Rose, as I have too many divorce cases on at the moment it seemed the best way out,but I will make it up to him at the bash.

Hope all is well in Ireland.

Regards
Richard

Thank you very much Tony. Dropped me and Gaz right in it! For years we have been concealing the facts from the Wellow Wonder. Now we’ve been rumbled. How can we look him in the eye. The glass one. Regards Charlie

Dont know if this pic of the Joker has been on here before ?

Don’t take any notice of the QC Charlie, he’s a lot older than you and I (but is wearing well ) and he’s getting things muddled up!!
Balders in actual fact it was quite true I was in Manchester that very night and sorry I missed out on a good night, now if memory serves I think that was May 9th I did that job, I was sitting in my hotel pee’d right off cos I missed a free drink from Mappo
But I’ll catch him at the bash ! Shame Balders that your gonna miss it ! But there’s still plenty of time to organise a crossing !!
R Jimmer.

Hi All sent to me by Tony Mapson an article about someone we all know is mentioned in it
Nice find Tony
And the Isle of Wight crew will be at the reunion !!

Hello Soton Lads. That Mapson chap has mentioned matchsticks in the past
to keep the eyelids open. You probably remember the song “Night and Day”
by Cole Porter. Drivers at Robert Baillie Transport saw both Night and Day
every 24 hours, and to keep the sun from our eyes,we would wear sunglasses,
The fashion police would have had a field day,Boiler suits and shades.
We referred to the sunglasses as a pair of “Cole Porters”. Happy days.
You could tell a Robert Baillies driver a mile away. Regards, Ray Smyth.

Another one done !

Brilliant model yet again Jimmer.
Looks better than the real thing…here it is when Phil Dibden drove it…
That’s mine on the left, and pretty sure that’s Cluey in the centre…

A.S. Rawlings roadtrain. They did 2 x long distance diaries in truck magazine back in the 70/80s.

Pretty sure that roadtrain was operated by a subbie of A.S.Rawlings Ron Blackman who was an ardent supporter of all things British Leyland & he also ran Peanut Punchers as they were affectionately known the Marathon, cheers Buzzer.

I plead not guilty to all charges and reserve my defence

That Blackmans motor driven by the Wing Commander had ASR 30 towed behind it. Jimmy bought it second hand, had it sign written and gave it to me for it’s first trip. Reloaded peaches (PEMPA?) and it promptly froze the top two rows (delivery to Marks and Sparks). Discussion was: Were the peaches loaded warm, straight off the field (as in off the tractor, thru the cold store and straight onto the trailer) or was it the fridge at fault? Don’t matter, I was a subbie, claim off me!!

Gazzer same happened to me and Stan Mathews RIP first two loads I ever did in a frigo, hired two trailers of Collis Cold Containers at Fareham and one was calibrated wrong two degree’s out, Stan was tipping in Bristol Market and when they discovered it goy sent to the old Stratford market , they sorted the load the barrow boys having a good time the remainder went to Nottingham the next night and no one said ought but still a 9K claim from Italfrutta. Ended up in Southampton high court both side having QC’cs that’s before the learned gentleman from Wellow started operating. At the end of the day we got judgement as we bothered to get the fridge checked to prove no human error plus we got costs, result. That was when the peach trays were stacked in by one old woman and two girls , took four hours to load not like old pirachini he was tops came out in the evening to check his trucks were there and all fruit in his fridge overnight chilling load first thing and sitting down in a routiers half way home that night, that’s the way it should be done but lots did not Buzzer.
