Hello Dave. I’m sorry it has come to this. However it all comes down to my winning ways with the ladies. He said to me you might look like Steve McQueen and have an Adonis like body but what else have you got. I said a large personality. I rest my case. Regards Charlie

Charlie I would be very careful if I were you especially as Dave said Mappo is going to take you to the top, Iv’e heard that for weeks now he has been building a huge bonfire in his garden and you maybe the Guy he has in mind to take to the top literally and its the 5th of November tomorrow so id’e stay locked in doors for a couple of days if I were you always looking after your well being mate, cheers Buzzer.

Hang on Buzzer, I don’t want to wheel him off a cliff, or burn him on a bonfire, that’s Mappo’s idea !

On the other hand, if the monies right… :open_mouth:

Good morning Jeremy.I really cant understand what is up with Tony. The only thing I said that he might have taken the wrong way was I was talking to and old friend of his.No names Jim.He said that Mappo wasn`t fit to live with pigs.I thought I should stick up for him as you do.So I replied. " He jolly well does " Do you think he might have taken it the wrong way? Regards Charlie

Charles just a thought as I have an empty pigsty at the moment and straw on site and I am sure I could get some swill from the local pubs and this all comes with a very modest rent should you be thinking of rehousing Mappo out of the kindness of your heart, Buzzer.

Not sure where I got to with Steve’s photos…

Hi Gary

That looks like a young Ian Lawson stood next to Steve’s Scania.

Regards
Richard

Don’t know if this has been on before

That must have been somthing else getting around a corner with that single axle back like that, even it did steer, which I doubt… :unamused:

You’re right there Richard.

Hi Gary,

Yes remember Steve buying that Scania, and Ian bought his Volvo F12 WHO 501 V at the same time, we shipped out together on it’s first trip and Ian said to me “This Volvo is going to be the last truck I buy” He wasn’t wrong because he’s still driving it today 36 years later !!

Thought I saw you on the M25 yesterday ?

Regards
Richard

Yep probably was, 2 trips to Erith.

I remember Ian getting a new rear panel in the original cab before he changed the cab for the Mk.2 raised roof type.

Don’t think Ian is worried now about spending all that money on a new truck all those years ago as when I last spoke to him when he was tipping a frigo box next door to Tracy Island at Segensworth he told me he had been offered more for it than when he bought it, that was a couple of years ago and there cant be many who have run the same truck earning a living for that long and Ian is in his 70’s, cheers Buzzer.

PS. can still remember the F88 he stepped out of when he got the F12 new, can any one else.

Hi Baldrick,

My better half says the club was the Silhouette, is that spelt correctly, and the Kiwi owner was Brian Adams. You may have listened to a group in there, “the Del Rio Four”, my wife’s young brother singer and lead guitar.

Hi Jimski,

Loved the photo, the years have been kind to you,
