Charlie you must be more condescending, poor old Roolechat has answered the question fully and explicitly and gets 10 out of 10 for that. I don’t care if he got it from a book or read it on a bog wall in Rownhams, thanks for the information I for one am a better informed person from your post, cheers Buzzer.
Sorry John.I didn`t realise that you were so sensitive. If I have upset anyone with my comment,I am so so sorry. No offence was meant or intended.I shant put any more postings on here for fear of upsetting anyone.Goodbye everyone.Regards Charlie

One of the pink coaches is ready Charlie, had it adapted fer yer gimpy leg, that’ll keep you out of trouble…for a bit…
Thanks Pat and Dave for your punishments.I shall do my best to stand up to them or better still lay down.
I suppose this means the end of my career as senior security officer at Tracey Island. Mappo you are now
in with a chance.Mind you if I told Buzzer what you said about him! Regards Charlie
Charlie I did not mean to upset you, now you have made me feel guilty and I will have to go to the big house at the bottom of the hill with the pointed chimney tomorrow morning and pray for forgiveness, I don’t normally attend as it is usually full of heathens and I don’t have a valid permit and also I cant sing so I am not looking forward to that. Please continue to post on this thread as your valued input would be sorely missed, regards Buzzer.

Hi Den…Hope you and Anne are well…If memory serves the majority were 180’s, however, one or two were uprated to 205, how and why I’ve no idea. I do remember talking to the workshop foreman at Maddison who confirmed that it had been “tweeked” so to speak. Only proof I had was it use to fly and pull like a train… certainly better than the J’s I drove later…
AND, no Den, it didn’t have 2 extra pots hanging out the back, so dont start that old rumour again…or I’ll cancel your next load of Xmas Brie and vin rouge…
[/quo
Thinking about it Dave your probably quite right as those early ■■■■■■■ used the same block etc. so all that was needed was indeed "tweeking " of the PT injection system and if anyone could “tweek” it would have been the SOM engineers who were an early customer for ■■■■■■■ engines. The finest ■■■■■■■ engine technician I ever knew was a chap called Denis Kulak (?) who was manager at George Garage Rugby,he was a great bloke, what he didn’t know about ■■■■■■■ engines you could have written on the back of a postage stamp,he tuned a couple of our ■■■■■■■ up and if we had any problems he was always happy to help as I recall. It’s a pity you can’t join into the spirit of the moment Dave and “swear blind” that SOM did indeed run some 8LXB Invincibles![]()

I was scoffing a pizza the other day with someone who mentioned a “calzone” and did I know what it was?
My first encounter with a “calzone” was in Milano. Rattle some brains here…
We used to clear something in Milano and once your paperwork was in, off down the road to a bar that you walked up a few steps into, it was long and narrow, all glass and mirrors. Here they did a BIG latte machiato and where I first had “pizzetta” for breakfast. A square pizza slice. They also did take away “calzone”. This wasn’t a me and Sonya thing, others of us went there too. Did we clear TV’s temporarily somewhere for a while before we went to Rogoredo?
